Adelaide Fringe 2006 – Re:generation implies a return to origins/roots, appropriate to the Fringe’s mission since 1970 to produce an open-access, non-curated arts event which assists artists by offering a range of low-cost technical and support services and an environment that encourages risk-taking and engagement by audiences. Fringe 2006 will also aim to be an eco-friendly/eco-centric event, recognising that many of today’s artists, designers and makers are increasingly addressing the need for a greater awareness of the environmental, social and economic impacts of consumerism.

WRECKology is an innovative visual arts culture initiative; a studio in public view in which a total of up to 12 selected artists and makers will generate artworks, furniture and wearable art from found and recycled materials.
