Port Arthur

Port Arthur Project, a major site-specific exhibition developed and presented as a partnership between the Tasmanian School of Art, University of Tasmania, Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority and Ten Days on the Island, aimed to enrich public understanding and perception of Port Arthur through site-specific contemporary visual art. The project commissioned established and emerging artists to research, develop and mount work that explores lesser-known or under-acknowledged aspects of Port Arthur's history, culture and environment.

Revelation:

installation art and its capacity to interpret and elaborate places of historical significance
