Tips for Using this Web Site
Viewing the ACUADS Web Site
Web browsers
There are many browsers available, all of which perform a similar
function. The most highly recommended is Mozilla's Firefox browser, which
outperforms most other browsers in speed and security. Firefox blocks
advertisers' unsolicited popup windows, protects against spyware and
provides "tabs" to allow you to browse multiple sites within a
single browser window. Firefox can also import your settings and "Favorites" (or "Bookmarks")
from other browsers so that you don't have to rebuild your bookmark
collection or recustomise your Preferences.

The "Refresh" / "Reload" function
To ensure that you are viewing the latest
version of any given web page on our site, you may need to click the "Refresh" or "Reload
current page" button
at the top of your browser window (similar to or ).
This sends a request to the web server to load the latest version of the
file – otherwise you may be seeing an older version that
your organisation's proxy server or your own browser have cached on a previous
visit for faster loading on subsequent visits.

Printing ACUADS Web Pages
The ACUADS web site uses "HTML frames" for its structure. This
means that when you go to print one of our web pages there are three possible
outcomes, depending on where you have last clicked on the page. Either
the navigation menu will be printed, or the top banner image, or the actual
content of the page. There are two easy solutions to this predicament:
To print ONLY THE CONTENT of a page:
First click anywhere within the text of the
web page (i.e. within the section that has a white background).
This identifies the page content as the frame to be printed. Next,
select "Print…".
To print the FULL WEB PAGE (all components):
First select "Print…" from your browser's File menu. Next, depending on
which browser you use, either click on the "Options" tab and select "As
laid out on screen", or from the "Print Frames" section select "As laid
out on the screen". Both of these options are equivalent in meaning to
"Print all frames".
Resizing techniques
If a printed web page does not fit onto one A4 page there are different
ways to get around this, depending on both your browser and your printer
model. Some solutions include:
• select "Page
Setup…"
from your browser's File menu and enable "Shrink to fit page"
• select
"Print…" from the File menu, then "Preferences"
and choose "Fit-to-Page Printing"
• any variation on this theme that corresponds to your particular browser-printer
combination.
